Wood pulp exports totaled 6.8 million tons of a total output of 9.5 million tons. Foreign sales of wood pulp surged 6.8% compared to 2016&rsquo;s volume and 42% of this total went to China, which increased its imports by 25.5%.<\/p>\n<p>The data was made available this Monday (31) in S&atilde;o Paulo by the Brazilian Tree Industry (Ib&aacute;). The balance sheet shows that from January to June of this year, exports reached 597,000 cubic meters of lumber, up 34.8% over the same period of 2016, with revenues reaching USD 137 million, up 25.7% from last year&rsquo;s first six months.
