In June, the IPCA had registered a deflation (price drop) of 0.23%. In July of last year, the inflation registered was of 0.52%. <\/p>\n<p>Year-to-date, the IPCA is at 1.43% in 2017. Year-over-year, the inflation rate is at 2.71%, the lowest for this measure since February of 1999. The cumulative inflation rate is below the federal government&rsquo;s fixed target of 4.5%. The data was made available this Wednesday (9) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). <\/p>\n<p>In July, household and transportation expenditures were the factors driving up the inflation.
