Although government officials were aware of it beforehand, the result was only made public this Wednesday (30) following its translation. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We are inclined to appeal, but I will not go into details regarding the contents for obvious strategical reasons,&rdquo; said the undersecretary-general for Economic and Financial Affairs of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos M&aacute;rcio Bicalho Cozendey, speaking at a press conference where he commented the ruling. <\/p>\n<p>The European Union and Japan filed disputes against Brazil&rsquo;s Inovar-Auto program, designed to encourage technological innovation in its automotive industry; the program to support technological development in the semiconductor and display industry (Programa de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Tecnol&oacute;gico da Ind&uacute;stria de Semicondutores e Displays &#8211; Padis); and the Computer Law (Lei de Inform&aacute;tica). Disputes were also filed against the program to support technological development of the digital TV equipment industry (Programa de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Tecnol&oacute;gico da Ind&uacute;stria de Equipamentos para TV Digital) and the digital inclusion program.
