The data is part of the Continuous National Household Sample Survey (PNAD Cont&iacute;nua) released this Thursday (31) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). <\/p>\n<p>The rate declined 0.8 percentage point in comparison to the quarter that ended in April, when the unemployed rate was at 13.6%. In the comparison with the same period of 2016, there was an increase of 1.2 percentage point in the unemployment rate.<\/p>\n<p>The data shows a decline of 5.1% of the unemployment rate over the previous quarter (less 721,000 people).
