The Brazil Commodities Index (IC-Br), surveyed monthly by the Brazilian Central Bank (BC), went down 2.06% compared to July. Year-over-year ending in August, the index climbed 1.06%, and year-to-date it has declined 6.51%.<\/p>\n<p>The IC-Br is calculated based on the variation in reais of the prices of primary products (commodities) internationally quoted. The BC picks the products that are relevant to the price dynamic to Brazil&rsquo;s consumers.
