The pictures were taken by the Par&aacute;-born Tarso Sarraf and can be seen at the Brazil-Lebanon Cultural Center in Beirut until September 29. The exhibit opened last week.<\/p>\n<p><!--[{![cemb_9_715263_2]!}]--><\/p>\n<p>Named &ldquo;Par&aacute;: Faith, Culture and Nature&rdquo;, the exhibition features 30 images. According to the head of the Cultural Department at Brazil&rsquo;s embassy in Lebanon, Thiago Oliveira, the photos show iconic places of local culture, among them the Guajar&aacute; bay, the Guam&aacute; river, kids having fun in a beach in Bragan&ccedil;a, river bank communities, games played by the Indians that live in the region, the procession of C&iacute;rio de Nazar&eacute;.<\/p>\n<p>Oliveira explains that the Brazil-Lebanon Cultural Center talks about a region of Brazil whenever it can.&nbsp;The Center has a project for a regional cultural cycle and this year it already has presented, within the initiative, the state of Minas Gerais. A similar event about the state of Bahia should take place until the end of 2017, says Oliveira. <\/p>\n<p>The photo exhibition opened alongside other events related to the Par&aacute; culture. The Brazilian chef Felipe Rameh prepared dishes for a tasting of the state&rsquo;s local food, with a menu that included tapioca, rice with duck in the tucupi sauce, Amazon fish broth and Brazilian chocolate. Rameh, a prized chef, is the grandson of Lebanese grandparents and one of the partners of restaurant Alma Chef, located in Belo Horizonte. He was travelling at the time to Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p><!--[{![cemb_9_715264_2]!}]--><\/p>\n<p>The professor of History of International Affairs and History of Brazilian Foreign Policy of the Federal University of Par&aacute;, Ioneida Cavalcanti da Cunha, made an introduction of the state. The professor has a Law major at the same university. 65 people attended the opening of the event, according to information released by the Brazil-Lebanon Cultural Center. <\/p>\n<p>Oliveira says that the photo exhibition attracts both Brazilians and Lebanese that want to know more of Brazilian culture and photo enthusiasts. The exhibition can be seen from Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 8 pm.
