The industry 4.0 concept refers to automation and data industries involving notions such as the internet of things and cloud computing.

The program will include four region-specific workshops in October and November, involving 200 companies under program Brasil Mais Produtivo (which means for a more Brazil that’s more productive). The events will cover the São Paulo Metro Area, the Greater ABC area, the Campinas area, and the Ribeirão Preto area. A congress is slated for December in state capital São Paulo. Investment will amount to BRL 500,000.

ABDI chairman Luiz Augusto de Souza Ferreira explains that Industry 4.0 parameters are now beginning to be rolled out in industry, but will reach other fields such as services, trade and commodities. As a case in point he cites the export of coffee, which gets shipped abroad in bags and imported in pods for much higher prices. “Brazil must take this opportunity and join the process industry,” he said.

*Translated by Gabriel Pomerancblum

The Brazilian federal government and the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo will hold workshops in cities across the state of São Paulo this year.

[91

0":"post-58353","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-economy
The Brazilian federal government and the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo will hold workshops in cities across the state of São Paulo this year.
["GET
