This month, the project will benefit the communities of Itaquera, neighborhood in S&atilde;o Paulo East Side, and Embu das Artes, in the Greater S&atilde;o Paulo metro area, on October 22 and 29, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><!--[{![cemb_9_715619_1]!}]--><\/p>\n<p>The main medical care procedures to be offered are mammograms and hepatitis, cholesterol and high blood pressure exams; among the cosmetics procedures are skin cleansing and massage. The leisure activities include distribution of books to all ages, jumpers and face painting for the kids. In the event&rsquo;s last edition, in June of this year, over 10,000 procedures were conducted. <\/p>\n<p>The Federation of Muslim Associations in Brazil (FAMBRAS), the event&rsquo;s organizer, tries to hold the charity event in many places in S&atilde;o Paulo to as many people as possible. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s wonderful for us, as a charitable organization, to be able to offer so much to these people in only one day,&rdquo; said Ali El Zoghbi, the Federation&rsquo;s vice-president. &ldquo;As Brazilian citizens that we are, we have the duty of contribute with our country&rsquo;s development, and as Muslims, to promote charity and solidarity,&rdquo; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Solidarity Islam has as its goal to value human life and empathy for the other, independent of one&rsquo;s different religion.
