The airline&rsquo;s aircrafts carried 280,500 people last month, against 252,100 people in October 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The information was published by the <em>Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP)<\/em> on Friday (3) based on the data made public by the airline. Regular traffic increased 6.1% in the period, reaching 264,300 passengers, while charter flights carried 16,200 people, a stunning increase of 74.7%.<\/p>\n<p>According to Tunisair, the hike in the number of passengers of charter flights was driven by the recovery of the country&rsquo;s tourism sector.<\/p>\n<p>European consumers accounted for 79.1% of Tunisair passengers in October. Compared to last year&rsquo;s same month, demand from European countries increased 5.4%, according to <em>TAP<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>African countries registered a growth of 12.2% in volume, accounting for 13.2% of total passengers carried by the airline.
