This Thursday (15) in your ANBA Bulletin: discussions are set to begin in Brazil regarding a legal framework on Islamic finance. Senator Jean Paul Prates requisitioned a meeting of the Senate's Commission on Economic Affairs among specialists and officials from the Central Bank, the Federal Revenue Service and the Securities and Exchange Commission. The announcement was made today during a Brazilian Halal Academy roadshow.
Ramadan began on Tuesday(13). Muslim communities around the world had to adapt their holy month practices as the world struggles with Covid-19. Only those who have been vaccinated or who have recovered from the virus will be allowed to the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Lebanese-Brazilian architect Alvaro Razuk (pictured above) is a reference in art exhibition design projects. His office, which is currently located in Largo do Arouche in São Paulo and named after him, has created exhibition projects for artists such as renowned photographer Sebastião Salgado and Adriana Varejão.

Egypt announced that a mission under the Egyptian archeologist Zahi Hawass discovered a city in Luxor that was lost under the sands 3000 years ago. Dubbed the Lost Golden City, the discovery was announced last week.
