Arab Brazilian Chamber and FUNAG sign MoU
This Monday (25) in your ANBA Bulletin: A memorandum of understanding was signed last week in Brasília between the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and the Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation (FUNAG). The two institutions will collaborate in research, studies and academic activities. High- and medium-high-tech exports from Brazil haven’t rebounded from the pandemic yet. And a book by Libyan author Ibrahim Al-Koni is about to be launched in Brazil by Tabla publishing house, and the pre-sale is taking place until Monday (25).

Brazilians donate to Palestinian refugee camp

 | The Brazilian community living in Palestine donated on Thursday (21) 1,600 meals to vulnerable families residing in the al-Am’ari Refugee Camp in Ramallah. The initiative was organized by the Brazilian Citizens’ Council in Palestine, which made the delivery with the help of volunteers.

Embassy of Brazil in Egypt holds Iftar for students

Brazil’s ambassador to Egypt, Antonio Patriota, welcomed on Thursday (21) in his official residence students that won the cultural contest “Why would I learn Brazilian Portuguese?” held by the embassy to promote the study of the Portuguese language in Egypt. They participated in an Iftar, the evening meal that breaks the daily Ramadan fast.

High-tech trade hasn’t rebounded from pandemic

Brazilian exports of high-tech goods, which are characterized by the high value added and technology used for them to operate, have been down since the beginning of the pandemic. “Medium-high and high-tech goods were the only ones whose exports haven’t rebounded in the post-pandemic period. And not only in Brazil but in the world at large,” said National Confederation of Industry (CNI) International Integration Policy manager Fabrizio Panzini.
