Brazil shipped live cattle to Morocco

This Monday (3) in your ANBA Bulletin: Morocco has received live cattle shipments from Brazil. Two thousand eight hundred head of cattle from the state of Pará were shipped, and another 3,000 will land on the Arab country on April 8. The Moroccan government has cut to zero the import tariff for up to 30,000 head of cattle by the end of the year.

Egypt has officially became a member of the New Development Bank, also referred as the BRICS bank. The financial institution was established by the bloc’s states – Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.

It is a special time in countries with Muslim populations. Since March 23, followers of Islam have been in Ramadan, the holy month that translates into moments of prayer, religious reflection, charity, and devotion. During this period, Muslims fast during the day and eat and drink only before and after the sun goes down. Breaking the fast is usually a collective gathering at the homes of relatives and friends, in restaurants, in public spaces, or next to a mosque. For them, it is a time of blessing. Egypt becomes member of BRICS New Development Bank

Egypt concluded its membership process to the New Development Bank (NDB), also known as the BRICS bank. The Official Gazette of Egypt published a resolution through which President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi (pictured above) ratified Decree No. 628 of 2023, approving the country’s membership to the financial institution.

Novellas by Palestine's Ghassan Kanafani’s out in Brazil

Palestinian author Ghassan Kanafani (1936–1972), a pioneer of Palestinian resistance literature and responsible for consolidating the country’s modern literature, had two of his novellas translated directly from Arabic into Brazilian Portuguese by Tabla, which has already published the children’s book ‘O Pequeno Lampião’ [‘The Little Lantern’], written and illustrated by Kanafani. ‘Homens ao Sol’ [‘Men in the Sun’] and ‘Umm Saad’ are landmarks in Palestinian literature and are available for pre-sale on the publisher’s website with a 30% discount until April 14.

Morocco receives first live cattle shipment from Brazil

This Sunday (26), Morocco received the first shipment of live cattle from Brazil. Two thousand eight hundred cattle were shipped from the state of Pará and arrived in the Arab country through the Jorf Lasfar port on the Atlantic coast, southwest of the national capital Rabat. Another 3,000 live cattle are expected to arrive at the same port on April 8.

UAE president names son as crown prince

The United Arab Emirates’ president sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan named his eldest son sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed (pictured above) as crown prince of Abu Dhabi, making him the oil-rich country likely next leader. Sheikh Al Nahyan is also the emir of Abu Dhabi.
