Brazil wants Arabs in carbon market
This Monday (4) in your ANBA Bulletin: The Brazilian government expects Arab businesspeople to participate as investors and buyers in the country’s carbon credit market. Brazil’s Environment minister Joaquim Leite discussed the topic in a lecture at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) last Friday (1). He also talked about the framework the government plans for the sector. Halal poultry exports from Brazil were up in the two months leading to Ramadan. During the religious period that is running from early April through early May, the Muslims fast during the day and have hearty, collective meals at dusk. And Expo 2020 Dubai ended on March 31. The world exhibition that started on October 1, 2021, welcomed over 23 million visitors, the organizers said.

Dubai regulates use of bicycles and scooters

The use of bicycles and electric bikes and scooters was regulated by a resolution in Dubai earlier this week. The document was issued by Dubai crown prince and Executive Council of Dubai chairman Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Media Office reported.

With the period’s arrival, the Brazilian animal protein sector saw a significant increase in the market share of halal products in the country’s poultry protein exports. Expo 2020 ended with over 23 million visitors

After 182 days of event, Expo 2020 Dubai closed its activities this Thursday (31). The first universal exhibition in an Arab country received over 23 million visitors and hosted more than 35,000 events between October 1, 2021, and March 31, 2022. According to The National newspaper website, data refers to records until March 29, and the organizers have not yet released the total balance.

Arab Brazilian Chamber signs agreements in Dubai

The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) signed on Wednesday (30) two agreements in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, aimed at reinforcing the rapprochement between Brazil and the Arab countries. The agreements were signed at the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), held by the UAE Economy Ministry, from March 29 to 31, to be a platform for discussions and investment opportunities.

Brazil’s Vale produces sustainable sand for road paving

Sand produced from the reuse of iron ore tailings from the operations of mining company Vale in Itabira, in the state of Minas Gerais, could be used to pave roads, with environmental and economic benefits. This is the result of Vale’s study developed over the last five years in partnership with the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI) on the Itabira campus.
