According to the director of Egypt Travel Latin America unit Mohamed Mohsen Ismael (left in the picture), over 22,000 Brazilians visited the Arab country in 2018. The agency organized a pavilion at the tourism show World Travel Market Latin America, which ended last Thursday (4) in São Paulo. Twenty-three Egyptian travel agencies participated in the show, 18 of them at the pavilion. “Touristic monuments related to the Roman civilizations, for example, can be found in several countries. But our pharaonic civilization only can be found in Egypt,” Ismael said to the reporter Thais Sousa.

Representatives from the institution and the event organizers have visited the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, which is an ICC member. They’ve asked for the Arab Brazilian Chamber to help announcing the congress to its members and Arab chambers of commerce. Over 1,000 participants are expected, including nations from the Middle East and North Africa. “We will talk about commerce and the big challenges in global trade governance such as the tensions we see in the world that impact business,” he explained ICC global membership and service director Julian Kassum to the journalist Isaura Daniel.

The declaration was made the day after Bolsonaro returned from his trip to Israel, where he announced the opening of a trade office in Jerusalem, creating an uneasiness with Arab diplomats. “We have made great advances with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates”, said Araújo.
