Brazilian startup received Saudi investment

This Monday (22) in your ANBA Bulletin: Brazilian startup Dato is based in the state of Paraná and received investment from Saudi fund Daal. The company uses big data and artificial intelligence to help companies find business opportunities based on geolocation.

Brazil is among the countries leading ticket purchases for this year’s FIFA Qatar World Cup. FIFA says 2.45 million tickets have been sold to see the games in the Arab country.

And Brazilian cosmetic, fragrance and toiletry exports were up in July. Hair products were the top-selling category.

Commercial traffic up in Morocco’s airports

The Brazilian cosmetic, fragrance and toiletry (CFT) industry keeps posting a growth in exports. From January to July 2022, shipments grossed USD 445.3 million, up 14% from a year ago, the Brazilian Cosmetic, Fragrance and Toiletry Association (ABIHPEC) reported on Friday (19).

Geolocation startup Datlo received Saudi investment

Brazilian Geographic Intelligence startup Datlo was founded in 2018 by a geographer and geography master Mateus Felini, in Maringá, state of Paraná. The company uses Big Data and Artificial Intelligence to help companies find market opportunities based on geolocation and has already been backed by a Saudi fund. Felini seeks to make Datlo a global company.

Fifteen Brazilian airports auctioned

Spanish company Aena won the most anticipated lot in the 7th round of Brazil’s airport concessions auction, which included Congonhas Airport (pictured above), in the capital of São Paulo, the second busiest in the country. Aena already holds the concession for six airports in the Northeast Region, including Maceió and Recife. The concession will be valid for 30 years.
