This Thursday (3) in your ANBA Bulletin: The Global Halal Brazil Business Forum, which has become Brazil’s largest halal market event and space for networking, will have its second edition from October 23 to 24 this year in São Paulo. The event is held by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and certifier FAMBRAS Halal. Saudi Arabia’s Investment minister Khalid Al-Falih is in Brazil this week. He talked about the Saudi interest in investing in Brazil’s food, finance, automotive, transport and logistics, infrastructure, ecotourism, and entertainment industries. Arab Brazilian Henrique Tabchoury works in agribusiness and collects records by Arab artists in his spare time. He owns a collection of 4,000 records. |

Brazilian Henrique Tabchoury has listened to Arabic music records with his Lebanese father since he was a child and saw him get emotional with the songs of his homeland. Jamil Abrão Tabchoury was born in Tripoli, Lebanon, in 1917 and came to Brazil with his family in 1927 when he was nine.

Egyptian designer Karim Rashid will speak on innovation and design at the III World Plastic Connection Summit, Brazil’s main international event in the plastic sector. The Saudi official traveled to Brazil with a delegation of around 100, including dozens of business people.
