This Monday (7) in your ANBA Bulletin: A mission of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil went last week to the United Arab Emirates. The cooperation in sustainable agribusiness projects was the focus of the meetings held by minister Carlos Fávaro and the business delegation that accompanied him to the Arab country. The Brazilian state of Paraná hosted an event of the Halal Brazil project last week. In an interview with ANBA, Giancarlo Rocco of Invest Paraná said the state has a potential to export foodstuffs, mate, textiles and cosmetics to the Muslim market. And Arab Brazilian author Marcelo Maluf released his new novel Os últimos dias de Elias Ghandour. |

Brazilian author Marcelo Maluf has released his new novel Os últimos dias de Elias Ghandour [loosely translated as The Final Days of Elias Ghandour]. The fears of Maluf himself are depicted in the book’s main character, a successful merchant who approaching the end of his life reflects upon his unaccomplished projects.

The state of Paraná has the potential to export to Muslim markets in several sectors, from foods such as proteins and yerba mate to the textile and cosmetics industry, according to the director of International and Institutional Relations of the investment promotion agency of the State Secretariat for Industry, Commerce, and Services (Invest Paraná), Giancarlo Rocco.
