Brazil produces cage-free chicken eggs
This Monday (12) in your ANBA Bulletin: Brazil produces cage-free chicken eggs. This type of bird raising with more animal welfare is a global trend. The demand comes primarily from the foreign market and domestic food exporting industry. Brazil participated in Food Africa, the food trade show that took place earlier this month in Cairo, Egypt. The Brazilian space was much sought after during the show. And Brazilian troupe Palco Companhia de Teatro will participate in the Neapolis International Festival of Kids Theater in Tunisia. Performances take place on December 20, 21 and 22. |

After years of work with digital marketing, Brazil's Bruno Egger, Hugo Pitta and Gregório Camacho started a company dedicated exclusively to international trade, Graux. The trio was already at the head of Mobilisa, a technological solutions and digital communication brand which will now focus on the hotel industry.

Palco Companhia de Teatro will be the first Brazilian troupe ever to participate in the Neapolis International Festival of Kids Theater in the town of Nabeul, Tunisia. The 35th session of the festival takes place from December 18 to 25 and brings together 16 theater companies from 14 countries.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply and poultry farmers in Brazil are reinforcing biosecurity in the country given the increase of highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N1) cases in South America. Brazil has never recorded any case of the disease in its territory.

The Brazil pavilion at Food Africa, a trade show specializing in the food sector, saw significant demand for exhibiting companies producing coffee, beef, chicken, confectionery, and products for supermarkets. The show took place in Cairo from December 5 to 7.

You probably have noticed on the supermarket shelves how egg-laying chickens are increasingly free and happy. Terms like “cage-free”, “happy chickens” and “animal welfare” have appeared more and more on egg packs. A booming market around the world, eggs laid by birds that have their natural behavior respected is a rising trend in Brazil — to a point of no return.
