Egypt's medicinal herbs sector expands 

This Thursday in your ANBA Bulletin: Egypt seeks to expand its participation in the medicinal and aromatic herbs global market. The Food Export Council and Chamber of Food Industries, in partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), are working to foster sector development.

Global trade could reach reacord-breaking USD 32 trillion this year, despite a slowdown in recent months. UNCTAD’s report points out services could perform better than exports of goods.

The 40th Khartoum International Fair will take place from January 24 to 31, 2023, in the capital of Sudan. The annual multi-sector event offers a wide range of products, services, and investment opportunities to stimulate trade and business with the country. The chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of Sudan to Brasília, Mohammed Elrashed Sidahmed Mohammed, visited the headquarters of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) in São Paulo this Monday (12) to promote the event and met with the secretary-general & CEO Tamer Mansour; International Relations vice president Mohamad Mourad; and Institutional Relations analyst Elaine Prates.

Sami Bordokan started playing the lute when he was six. Now that he’s about to turn 50, they are still inseparable friends. It’s his primary passion and tough he plays several instruments, it’s the lute that Sami Bordokan is usually seen with in photos and on the stage. It was as natural for him to learn how to play it as it was to learn Arabic. At home, where music was the resting state of his family, Arabic was the only language they spoke. “My father was a very skilled lute player and an exquisite singer, but he never worked as a professional artist,” he said.
