This Monday in your ANBA Bulletin: Vice president Hamilton Mourão visited the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in São Paulo, where he participated in a lunch in his honor. In an interview with ANBA and TV Brasil, he stressed that strategic Brazil-Arab countries relations are already in place. “I already consider relations to be strategic at this point, because trade in foodstuffs is very solid, and food security is a strategic issue for any country,” he said. But he added that the economic interchange is expanding to other areas. “Our trade is moving into other higher value-added products,” he said. The vice president also complimented the Arab Chamber’s work in bring Brazilians and Arabs close together. “I find what these people here (at the Chamber) do is admirable in terms of connecting our peoples,” he said.
And the Embassy of Kuwait in Brasília and the Arab Brazilian Chamber will host the Kuwait Cultural Week to kick off next Thursday (5) featuring a photo exhibit, Arabic calligraphy, handicraft, a lecture, and music performances. Check out the details on the story by Bruna Garcia.
