Brazil has donated USD 75,000 to help fight the coronavirus in Palestinian refugee camps. Ambassador Alessandro Candeas, head of the Brazilian Representation office in Ramallah, delivered this Tuesday (30) a donation letter to the commissioner-general of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, at a meeting in Amman, capital of Jordan.

An inclined, mirrored rectangle like a spacecraft ready to fly. Saudi Arabia pavilion stands out among the pavilions of the 191 other countries at Expo 2020 Dubai, United Arab Emirates. A mirrored screen outside is 1,320 square meter. Inside, five levels show the culture and heritage of the country, its natural landscapes, its developments, and future ambitions. The idea of the pavilion is being “the country’s window to the world,” showcasing Saudi Arabia as a tourist and investment destination and attracting people to visit and establish business there.

The eyewear industry in Brazil has gradually recovered in 2021 from the challenges it faced during the first year of the pandemic. “It had a significant impact on business reduction. The 2020 figures shrank by 16.5% from 2019, and have partially recovered in 2021,” Ambra Nobre Sinkoc, executive director of Brazilian Optical Industry Association (Abióptica), said.

Medical tourism generates USD 40 bn in Africa

Medical tourism moves around approximately USD 40 billion a year in Africa as per estimate made public by Egyptian-African Businessmen Association (EABA) chairman Yousrey El-Sharkawi. He spoke at the second edition of the African Medical Tourism Congress held in Gammarth, Tunisia, from November 25 through 27, featuring 27 African, Arab and European countries.
