Arab delegations visited defense show in Brazil

Delegations from four Arab countries participated in the 6th IDB Brasil Exhibition, which took place last week in Brasília to show Brazilian security and defense products and services. Representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt visited the show. Arab nations composed the majority among the six foreign missions at the event.

Egypt’s Gouda exports 145,000 tonnes of agricultural goods

The exports of Egyptian agricultural company Gouda increased by 18% to 20% in the last harvest, to 145,000 tonnes. The company plans on stepping up exports by 25% in the current harvest by widening current export markets and breaking into new ones. Brazil’s Iceport a halal logistics services provider

Refrigerated logistics center Iceport of the city of Navegantes, Santa Catarina, has a service that specializes in halal products and plans on growing in the industry. Iceport is a subsidiary of container terminal Portonave and provides a structure for exporting and importing frozen goods. It has set up a specific process for halal cargo certified by Cdial Halal.

Publisher seeks support for project on Egyptian history

Editora Nova Onda, a Brazilian publishing house from the TBS group, plans to launch a saga with Egypt as its primary scenery. Telma Bartholomeu, the founder of Nova Onda and author of the book, explains the work will be aimed at a young audience and intends to use a dynamic reading in favor of the plot, which will have three volumes. Brazilian poultry exports could break records in 2021, 2022

Brazilian exports of poultry protein are expected to total 4.58 million tonnes from January to December 2021, an amount 8% higher than in 2020. For 2022, the projection is for international sales to reach 4.75 million tonnes, a volume 5% higher than estimated for this year. Data were released by the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA) in an online press conference this Thursday (16).

Egypt fosters small business exports

The food industry export consultant for the Trade Development Project and Export Development Project for Egyptian Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Mohamed Habib (pictured above), estimated the amount of funding provided by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to stimulate exports by small and medium Egyptian companies could bring sales returns of up to USD 255 million. The agency will provide USD 40 million over five years.

UAE the leading destination of eggs from Brazil

The United Arab Emirates were the leading destination of egg exports from Brazil year to date through November, industry association ABPA reported on Thursday (16). Year to date through November, chicken egg exports from Brazil reached 8,854 tonnes up 84.2% from a year ago. Revenue reached USD 14.064 million, up 74.5%.

Emirates completes A380 fleet with 123rd aircraft

Emirates Airline received delivery of its 123rd Airbus A380 jet. The aircraft, registered as A6-EVS, is also the final A380 aircraft to join Emirates’ fleet, marking the airline’s 21-year commitment to the program with Airbus.
