This Monday (27) in your ANBA Bulletin: the new visual identity of the Brazil-Arab News Agency. ANBA's redesigned look reflects the innovation and technology phase of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce. Arabs have doubled their exports to Brazil from January to November. The country purchased 100.6% more Arab products than in the same period in 2020 and was still able to maintain a trade balance surplus with the region.

Year-to-date Arab exports to Brazil doubled

Year to date through November, Brazil’s purchases from the Arabs were up 100.6% from a year ago. The increase comes in a balance that remains positive for the Brazilians, at USD 3.8 billion, according to data compiled by the Market Intelligence department of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC).

The Brazil-Arab News Agency (ANBA) launched this Monday (27) a new visual identity, with a redesigned logo. The website’s appearance was revitalized with lighter and more modern colors and lines, following the innovations and technologies the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) is going through, of which ANBA makes a part. ANBA is the news agency of the ABCC.

Jordan, Saudi Arabia aim to increase agricultural ties

Representatives of the governments of Jordan and Saudi Arabia met to discuss ways to increase agricultural cooperation between the countries, Jordanian news agency Petra reported. Jordan’s Agriculture minister Khaled Hneifat on Wednesday (22) talked with a delegation from the Saudi Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Water. Topics addressed included ways to increase agricultural crops and foodstuffs exchange.

Brazil slashes to 2% import tariffs on auto parts

Brazil’s trade authority Camex, affiliated with the Ministry of Economy, slashed to 2% the import tariffs on 12 auto part products that are not domestically manufactured. The measure comes into force on January 1st, 2022.

Algeria boosting electronic payments

During the year 2021, more than two million commercial operations via electronic payment terminals were recorded in Algeria, local news agency Algérie Presse Service reported. The Algerian government has worked to encourage this type of operations.
