Leaders from the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce had meetings in Brasília this week to reinforce its partnership with APEX-Brasil and the Council of Arab Ambassadors. The entity’s president Rubens Hannun and foreign relations vice-president Osmar Chohfi met with the new APEX-Brasil president Mario Vilalva, and were also received by the Department of Federal Revenue of Brazil special secretary Marcos Cintra, and others. Property market in Sharjah yielded USD 6.1 bi
São Paulo – The property market in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, recorded transactions of USD 22.5 billion last year, according to the annual report by the local Real Estate Registration Directorate. The emirate posted 54,125 purchases and sales, according to a story published in the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the official news agency in the country.

Ras Al Khaimah attracted over 1 million visitors in 2018
São Paulo – Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), United Arab Emirates, announced this Tuesday (12) that the emirate received over 1 million tourists in 2018, a 10% increase over the previous year. It received 1,072,066 visitors. RAKTDA has implemented its 2016 strategic plan to attract 1 million tourists in three years. The plan for the next triennium, from 2019 to 2021, is reaching 1.5 million tourists per year.

After halt, poultry exporters from Brazil go to Riyadh
São Paulo – Representatives of the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA, acronym in Portuguese) arrived at Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, for a mission seeking rapprochement. The entourage includes poultry exporters from Brazil and departed last Sunday (10). Among the scheduled meetings, ABPA reported they are visiting the Brazilian embassy in Riyadh and local companies.

Biscuit companies looking for a broader market in UAE
São Paulo – The United Arab Emirates will be the focus of the actions by the project to promote exports of cookies, pasta, and industrialized bread and cakes starting August this year. The project is carried out by the segment association ABIMAPI, and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (APEX-Brasil), both working together to facilitate to companies of the area to enter the international market.
