Brazilian institutions launch campaign for Syria
This Monday (13) in your ANBA Bulletin: Brazilians entities have launched a campaign to help the victms of the earthquake that struck northern Syria. The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) participates. From February 13 to 24, the group will raise money to buy medicines and hospital supplies under the coordination of Brazil’s Foreign Ministry, which will be responsible for the shipment.

The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) participated in this year’s edition of the Show Rural Coopavel. In a panel, the ABCC’s Institutional Relations analyst Elaine Prates pointed out the Arabs see opportunities in Brazil to acquire technological expertise. “Innovative solutions for agribusiness, such as irrigation systems and seed improvement, for instance, are likely to attract the interest of Arab institutions for implementing them in countries like Sudan, Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt,” she said.

Egypt’s prime minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that his government plans to offer stakes in 32 state-owned enterprises over the course of a year starting from the first quarter of 2023 until the first quarter of 2024, through direct sales to strategic investors and listings on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
