The Arab Brazilian Chamber launched on Tuesday (19) its first international office in Dubai, UAE. The new branch will work to strengthen relations between Brazil and the Arab countries. The reporter Bruna Garcia attended the launching ceremony in Conrad Hotel, which featured the presence of the Arab Brazilian Chamber board, local and Brazilian authorities, entity’s associates and other businessmen.

“We wanted to establish this connection, show the way for the Arab companies interested in doing business with Brazil to have this support. The office will be a constant in the Arab world,” said the Arab Brazilian Chamber president Rubens Hannun in the launching ceremony.

Exports from Dubai to Brazil have doubled

Dubai – This Tuesday (19) morning, directors of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce met with Dubai Exports CEO Saed Al Awadi in Dubai World Centre. Dubai Export is the government body that promotes exports from companies in that emirate and the CEO said that, since his first visit to Brazil, in 2010, the sales of products from Dubai to Brazil have doubled. Dubai Exports often promotes trips to Brazil with delegations formed by local businessmen searching for businesses.

 
 

Chocodate wants to increase sales to Brazil

Dubai – “We aim to increase our sales in Brazil, and Gulfood is the right place to reach this goal,” said Mandeep Suri, marketing director of the Notions Group, which comprises Chocodate. The Emirati brand produces dates stuffed with almonds covered by chocolate and has a prominent stand in the Dubai fair. Suri told ANBA that the brand has already been selling to the supermarket chain Zaffari in Brazil for approximately two years, and they are focusing now on Carrefour and Pão de Açúcar. Until Tuesday (19), the company still hadn’t received the visit from the Brazilian chains.

 
 

Gulfood consolidates its importance for Brazilian beef

Dubai – “About 30% of the volume exported by Brazilian slaughterhouses goes to the Arab world, so our presence in Gulfood is more to consolidate this market,” said the executive director of the Brazilian Beef Exports Association (ABIEC, acronym in Portuguese) Liège Nogueira in an interview to ANBA in the second day of Gulfood in Dubai.
