Over 100 Brazilian firms present at Gulfood
This Thursday (23) in your ANBA Bulletin: One hundred Brazilian companies participate in Gulfood, the food and beverages trade show that’s taking place in Dubai until Friday (24). In the space organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), eleven companies are showcasing their products. The halal market has thrived as the Muslim population and economy surge. This was the topic of a workshop held by the Halal do Brasil project in Dubai earlier this week. Meet the Brazilian football club that is named after the emirate of Sharjah and has a close relationship with the region. And the next cycle of the Zayed Sustainability Award is open for submissions until May 2.

Saudi oil exports revenue grew 11% last December compared to the previous year’s same month, according to information released by the Arab News website based on data from the General Authority for Statistics of Saudi Arabia (GASTAT). The country earned SAR 85.5 billion with international sales of the commodity, about USD 22.8 billion at the current rate.

The Halal do Brasil project is assembling a working committee. In a meeting this Thursday morning (16) at the headquarters of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) in São Paulo, representatives of halal certifiers in Brazil were invited to participate in the group. The project is conducted by the ABCC and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

The Brazil Pavilion at Gulfood, the biggest food and beverage show in the Middle East, brings together 105 companies. The space was opened this Monday (20), the first day of the event taking place in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, that runs until February 24. The opening event of the Brazil Pavilion included statements by authorities from the public and private sectors.

Brazilian foods such as candies, chocolates, peanuts, sugar, animal protein, and coffee will be in the spotlight at the Gulfood food and beverage show in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, from February 20 to 24. Eleven companies are exhibiting at the event in a space organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC). Products also include poultry and beef byproducts, confectionery, fruits, grains, sugar, and spices. The ABCC will have two spaces, one in Hall 2 for foodstuffs in general and one in the Protein Pavilion.

Arab Health, the Middle East’s leading healthcare trade show, has grown year by year, and so did the Brazilian pavilion, which has been present for two decades in the event in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. At the 2023 edition that ran from January 30 to February 2, Brazilian manufacturers affiliated with the Brazilian Health Devices (BHD), the program resultant from the partnership between the Brazilian Medical Devices Manufacturers Association (ABIMO) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), close immediate deals worth of USD 4.2 million.

Representatives of Egyptian chemical industries will head on a mission to Brazil in June this year, organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) and the Chemical Export Council (CEC). The regional director of the ABCC’s office in Cairo, Michael Gamal, announced the initiative in the seminar “Mechanisms for Penetration in Export Markets,” held this week by the council in the Egyptian capital.
