 | MVISIA, a startup that develops computer vision and artificial intelligence software for industry and agroindustry, won the bootcamp the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce hosted last Thursday (20). The event selected one out of five startups to participate in the world competition at the 2020 Annual Investment Meeting (AIM), the investment forum to have its 10th edition in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from March 24 to 26.

Despite coronavirus, which caused several visitors from across the world, especially China, to not attend the event, the businesspeople reported that connections were more qualified and business prospection remained high.

Brazilian brand Vitta Gold Cosméticos has launched a new hair product line, Silk Express, in Egypt. The launching ceremony received around 2,000 people in Cairo on February 2, including company’s associates and Egyptian digital influencers. The organic line is focused on hair strengthening and is formaldehyde-free.

Agency takes descendants to family hometowns in Lebanon

GoToBEY, a division of Líder Corporate Eventos & Lazer travel agency, will take tourists from Brazil to Lebanon in June and September. The itineraries include visits to their family’s hometowns, local cuisine classes, walks on the beach, and leisure and shopping trips to Syria. GotoBEY is in São Paulo and “BEY” refers to Beirut, Lebanon’s capital city.

Tunisia exported 63,000 tons of olive oil

Tunisia exported 63,000 tons of olive oil in the three months through January, Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) agency reported last Thursday (20) based on information provided by the Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries minister Samir Taieb. Revenues reached DT 423 million (USD 147.4 million) from November 2019 through January 2020.

January saw 1,190 tons of hatching eggs and poultry genetic material exported from Brazil, the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) reported this Thursday (20). Exports were down 37.2% from January 2018.
