Former Lebanese Olympian opens restaurant in Brazil
This Monday (10) in your ANBA Bulletin: Gretta Taslakian, a Lebanese athlete who participated in three Olympic games, now lives in Brazil and opened a Lebanese restaurant in Fortaleza, Ceará.
A vaccine against COVID-19 entirely produced in Brazil by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) was approved.

Lebanese Gretta Taslakian participated in three Olympics and holds 200 and 400 metres records. Although she continues to train, she stopped competing. The Lebanese woman has been living in Brazil for four years, where she has been dedicating herself to a different career as a chef.

Fiocruz to produce COVID-19 vaccines with Brazilian inputs

The Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) approved the inclusion of the production of the vaccine against COVID-19 by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) using the national Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API). The publication is in Resolution RE 35/2022 of the General Management of Medicines at ANVISA, released this Friday (7) in the Brazilian Official Federal Gazette.

Brazil’s industrial production dropped in November 2021

Brazil’s industrial production dropped 0.2% from October to November 2021. It was the sixth consecutive decline in the indicator, which accumulated losses of 4% in the last six months assessed. Data from the Monthly Industrial Survey were released today (6) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).

Somalia receives funding from World Food Programme

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Abdiwahab Ugas Hussein Khalif, met with World Food Programme (WFP) representative in Somalia, Elkhidir Daluum. During the meeting, a USD 185 million co-operation agreement between Somalia and WFP was signed.
