Black pepper from Brazil's Espírito Santo exported to Egypt and UAE

This Thursday (12) in your ANBA Bulletin: Nater Coop, an agricultural cooperative based in Brazil’s Espírito Santo that traditionally exports coffee, is now exporting black pepper. The first destination was Egypt and the second the United Arab Emirates.

Brazil’s new ambassador to Lebanon, Tarcisio Costa, visited the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce earlier this week and said he’ll focus on cooperation between the countries in different areas.

And Brazil made a bid for Belém to host COP30 in 2025. The information from Brazil’s Foreign Affairs Ministry was confirmed by president Lula to Pará governor Helder Barbalho on Wednesday (11) in Brasília.

Diplomat Tarcisio de Lima Ferreira Fernandes Costa, Brazil’s new ambassador to Lebanon, is having appointments in the city of São Paulo before he starts his mission in the Levant country. Costa visited on Tuesday (10) the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), where he was welcomed by ABCC president Osmar Chohfi, Institutional Relations director Fernanda Baltazar and International Relations vice president Mohamad Orra Mourad.

Brazil makes bid for Belém to host COP30 in 2025

The Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially launched a bid for Belém to host the COP30 international climate summit in 2025. The information was confirmed by president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to Pará governor Helder Barbalho during a meeting on Wednesday in Brasília. The northern city was chosen as the official candidate to host the conference.

Black pepper from Brazil' Espírito Santo exported to Egypt, UAE

‌ Pimenta-do-reino do Espírito Santo vai ao Egito e Emirados

Cooperativa Agropecuária Centro Serrana (Nater Coop), an agribusiness cooperative based in the city of Santa Maria de Jetibá, state of Espírito Santo, started exporting black pepper and its first destination was Egypt. By February, containers are expected to be shipped to the United Arab Emirates, and there are prospects for sales to Morocco as well.

Poultry exports from Brazil closed 2022 at record high

Brazilian exports of poultry protein – including all byproducts, fresh and processed – totaled 4.8 million tonnes in 2022. The volume is a historical record and exceeds by 4.6% the total exported in the twelve months of 2021, 4.6 million tonnes. Exports revenue reached USD 9.7 billion, another unprecedented result, 27.4% higher than in 2021. Data are from the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA).

IMF projects increased growth for Egypt

KSA announces tourism giga-project Diriyah
