A good moment for Brazilian maize

This Thursday (19) in your ANBA Bulletin: Brazil has invested in corn planting and a double cropping with soybean. The record-high harvest leads experts to believe Brazilians will maintain the buyers earned in the past couple of years.

On Saudi soil, the first Brazilian female driver to race Dakar Rally was Pâmela Bozzano. Other Brazilians also participated in the competition, and one of them made it to the podium.

And climate summit COP28 will be hosted in the United Arab Emirates later this year.

The presidency of COP28 in the United Arab Emirates unveiled the official logo and branding of the 28th United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP28). The event will occur at Expo City Dubai from November 30 to December 12. Information was supplied by the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

Meet the first Brazilian female driver to race Dakar Rally

Born in Santa Catarina, Pâmela Bozzano is first Brazilian female driver to race Dakar Rally. She raced in category T3, alongside navigator Cadu Sachs. The edition took place in Saudi Arabia and ended last Sunday (15). Besides Bozzano, other 51 women from different countries participated in the races that covered tracks in the Arabian Gulf.

Born in Fortaleza, Brazil, 32-year-old Julieta Cavalcante always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian, although her parents wanted her to become a doctor or a lawyer. From an early age, she liked playing with cats but especially with dogs. As an adult, dogs were the main patients she used to treat when she was a veterinarian in Brazil. Upon arriving in Qatar, she was surprised to see there were only cats in her service queue in her first day on the job.

UAE, Qatar were main buyers of Brazilian eggs

The United Arab Emirates remained the leading destination for Brazilian eggs. In 2022, the Arab country imported 4,450 tonnes, a volume 35.6% lower than in 2021. Last year’s highlight, in turn, was Qatar, the host country of the FIFA World Cup, which clinched second place in Brazil’s exports with 1,110 tonnes, an amount 127.8% higher than the previous year. Third came Japan, with 1,100 tons, with purchases 6.6% lower than in 2021. Data were released this Tuesday (17) by the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA).

Course to empower 150 São Paulo-based businesses to export

Brazil: Maize gains ground with winter harvest, new markets
