President for third time, Lula is congratulated by heads of state in Brasília
This Thursday in your ANBA Bulletin: Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was sworn in as president of Brazil. In his third term, he received the presidential sash from the hands of representatives of the Brazilian people. Following the ceremony, Lula was greeted by heads of state and representatives of over 125 countries, including some Arab nations. Egyptian Brazilian chef Felipe Kaizer researches and makes a cuisine from the Middle East as influenced by his maternal grandmother, who was born and raised in Cairo. And Dubai ended the 30% tax on alcohol sales.

Brazilian Felipe Kaizer grew up in a family that cherished cooking. What he didn’t know was he would retrieve the origin of these flavors and make them the basis of his specialization as a chef. One of Felipe’s grandmothers, Emilia Kaizer, was born in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, and from there came recipes and influences she would share with her grandson.

São Paulo – After being sworn in for the third time on Sunday, January 1, 2023, Brazil’s president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva went up the ramp of the Planalto Palace in Brasília and received the presidential sash from citizens that represented the diversity of the Brazilian people. The inauguration had a record of visits by foreign delegations. There were more than 65, including six representatives from Arab countries.

The emirate of Dubai ended its 30% tax on alcohol sales in the and made its required liquor licenses free to obtain in a bid to further boost tourism to the emirate. The New Year’s Day announcement was made by Dubai’s two state-linked alcohol retailers.
