Netflix’s first original Arabic film to premiere January 20
This Monday (3) in your ANBA Bulletin: cultural tips to enjoy in the new year. The first Netflix original feature film produced in the Arab world is a remake of the Italian hit Perfect Strangers, which already has 18 versions from different countries.
ANBA made a list of Arab artists to listen to in 2022. Among them, Jordanian Issam Al-Najjar; Sudanese Mustafa, The Poet; and Canadian-Palestinian Nemah Hasan, also known as Nemahsis, among other singers from Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Jordan, and Kuwait.

Arab singers to listen in 2022

To update your playlist for the new year, ANBA made a list with suggestions of Arab albums and artists from Jordan, Palestine, Morocco, Lebanon, among other countries in the region. Names such as Zeina, Rasha Nahas, and Postcards are part of the selection compiled with information from the Saudi newspaper Arab News.

Netflix’s first original Arabic film to premiere in January

The first Netflix original film in Arabic is a remake of the acclaimed Italian feature Perfect Strangers and already has a release date. The adaptation features a cast from several Arab countries and will premiere on the streaming platform on January 20, 2022, in 190 countries.

Brazil receives 2022’s first batch of COVID-19 shots

The first batch of vaccines against COVID-19 of 2022 arrived in Brazil, with 1.1 million shots from the North American pharmaceutical company Pfizer. According to the Brazilian Ministry of Health, the shipment with immunizing agents landed this Sunday (2) afternoon at the Viracopos Airport in Campinas, São Paulo.

The booming investment market in Brazil is consolidated, as well as the growing interest of foreign investors in Brazilian companies still in the growth phase with innovative projects, the startups. According to a Dataminer District survey, USD 3.5 billion were raised in 2020, representing a 17% growth compared to the USD 2.97 billion invested in 2019. Investment rounds also grew: 469, compared to 260 in 2019.

Pre-salt: Petrobras method avoids sending gas to atmosphere

Petrobras has developed a program for the capture, use, and geological storage of carbon dioxide (CO2) in its pre-salt oil and gas fields; the initiative is the largest in the world in operation in annual reinjected volume and also pioneer in ultra-deep waters.
