Brazil seeks to sell cotton to Egypt as market opens

This Monday (30) in your ANBA Bulletin: Egypt announced this month its market is now open for Brazilian cotton. Producers can now seek opportunities in the Arab country. Brazilian industry association ABRAPA seeks to carry out a trade promotion initiative in Egypt in the first half of this year. 

Lebanese-French composer Yara Lapidus partnered twice with Brazilian singer Chico César. Performing in São Paulo, she is playing concerts and seeking new partnerships.

Students who are considering pursuing a career in International Relations visited the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce last week to learn more about the profession.

The mix of references and experiences of Yara Lapidus is what maker her music so unique. The French Lebanese singer has a special affection for Brazil. In an interview she gave to ANBA in the neighborhood of Bela Vista in São Paulo, she pointed out that her first name came from the indigenous language Tupi and was present to her mother by a Brazilian. Not only that, but this isn’t the first time that French-based Lapidus comes to the country. “I have many cousins here because a paternal aunt of my married a Brazilian guy and moved to Rio de Janeiro,” she said.

Brazilian farmers aim to account for 20% of Egypt‘s demand for cotton imports over the next two years and are organizing to seek this share already in the first half of 2023. The goal was set by the Brazilian Cotton Growers Association (ABRAPA) as Brazilian cotton broke into the Egyptian market earlier this month after Egypt and Brazil signed a phytosanitary agreement that set the rules for Brazil to supply cotton to the Arab country.

So said Redirection International, a consulting firm that specializes in M&A. The survey encompasses all M&A operations involving photovoltaic energy generation and distribution.
