Brazil’s Ceará develops hub to export green hydrogen
This Monday (31) in your ANBA Bulletin: Brazil’s state of Ceará’s projects with green hydrogen. The Brazilian state devised a hub to become a producer and exporter of H2V, considered a fuel for the future. The goal is to use the partner ports of Pecém, in Ceará, and Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, for this trade route.
Arab Health, a healthcare sector show in the United Arab Emirates, yielded remarkable results for participating Brazilian companies. The show rendered USD 2 million in business and should generate over USD 10 million in the coming 12 months.
Registration is open for the Morocco award that will recognize projects with significant contributions to water security. Another prize award, to honor books published in English about Palestine, is also open for submission.

The Arab Health healthcare show, the largest in the Middle East, has been consolidating itself as one of the most significant worldwide, including for Brazilian companies. This year’s edition, which ended this Thursday (27) in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, featured 21 Brazilian companies and generated over USD 2 million in business for the South American country. Expectations are for more than USD 10 million in the next 12 months.

Brazil’s Ceará builds hub to produce, export green hydrogen

The state of Ceará is designing a hub with the capacity to produce at least 500,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year, equivalent to around 2.5 million tonnes of green ammonia, and export to Europe on a shipping route from the Port of Pecém to its trading partner, the Port of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands.

Books published in English about Palestine can be submitted to the 11th Palestine Book Awards. The Awards are hosted by press monitoring organization Middle East Monitor (MEMO). MEMO is focused on spreading information on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and other issues in the Middle East.

The second edition of the International Short Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro (FIC RIO) will feature two Arab titles. Among the 29 foreign films from 22 countries are the short Setback of the Spirit, from Jordan (15 min., 2017, directed by Sa’ed Arouri), and Stigma, from Iraq (15 min., 2020, directed by Jaafar Muraad). The online event will occur from April 25 to 30, and the films can be watched for free on the festival’s YouTube channel.

Saudi Arabia is expected to take a leading role in the games and e-sports industry, driven by its high consumption in the segment. According to a story published on the Arab News website, based on a Boston Consulting Group (BCG) report, purchases in the Saudi market in the sector stood at USD 959 million in 2020 and are expected to reach USD 6.8 billion by 2030.

The government of Morocco and the World Water Council hold the 7th Hassan II Great World Water Prize, one of the most prestigious and globally recognized prizes. This Prize is awarded every three years during the opening ceremony of the World Water Forum. This year’s event the Prize will be awarded at the 9th World Water Forum which will be held in Dakar, Senegal, on March 21. The value of the prize is USD 500,000.

Brazil has lost one of its great masters of Arab culture and defender of Eastern causes. The Egyptian based in Brazil, Mohamed Ezz El Din Mostafa Habib, passed away this Wednesday, January 26, at the age of 80, after building a 40-year career in the country marked by significant participation and outstanding academic and social protagonism.
