This Monday (1) in your ANBA Bulletin: the soon-to-be ambassador of Brazil to Morocco, Julio Bitelli, visited the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (pictured) today and said he intends to give priority to diversification of trade and the completion of a Mercosur-Morocco free trade agreement. “We must work on reducing the tariffs and making it possible for our products to more competitively break into the Moroccan market, especially beef and poultry,” Bitelli told ANBA’s Bruna Garcia. He is currently the chief of Brazil’s diplomatic representation in Bogota, Colombia, and expects to take office in Rabat next September.
Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro met during the weekend with Saudi Arabia heir prince Mohammed Bin Salman, in the sidelines of a G20 meeting in Osaka, Japan. Bolsonaro told Bin Salman about investment opportunities in Brazil, and said he plans on visiting the Arab country soon.
