Arabs visit art installation in honor of immigrants
This Monday (11) in your ANBA Bulletin: An art installation in progress in the central zone of São Paulo pays tribute to the Arab immigration in Brazil and the 70th anniversary of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC). A delegation from Arab countries attended the unveil event that featured projection of images on the building where the artwork will be concluded. Representatives of Arab chambers of commerce from South America signed in São Paulo a letter of intent to work together for the development of the institutions. Discover the story of Tunisia’s Hajer Aounallah, who does research in the Graduate Program in Sciences-Toxinology of the Butantan Institute. The study was made possible by an agreement with University of Tunis El Manar – Institute Pasteur.

Tunisian Hajer Aounallah, 27, conducts research at Brazil’s Butantan Institute. She is studying part of her doctorate in the Sciences Graduate Program – Toxinology of the Brazilian entity. The research was made possible by an academic agreement with the University of Tunis El Manar – Institut Pasteur in Tunisia, allowing her to obtain a Ph.D. from both institutions.

Business opportunities in halal markets were the topics of the meeting between heads and executives from the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (ICCIA) at the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) this Wednesday (6). The meeting took place at the ABCC headquarters, in São Paulo.

A delegation of Arab authorities and executives visited Rua 25 de Março, a street shopping hub in the capital of São Paulo, this Tuesday (6) to watch the unveiling of the artwork under production to honor Arab immigration to Brazil and the 70th anniversary of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC). The street is a meaningful site for the Arab colony in Brazil, where immigrants put up shops upon arrival in the country.

The Economic Forum Brazil & Arab Countries, which took place last Monday (4), brought together notable players in the relationship between the two regions. From diplomats and state authorities to entity heads, entrepreneurs and executives met face-to-face at the Renaissance Hotel, where the event took place, or over the internet.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry acting undersecretary Mohammad Mekhlef Al-Enezi visited the headquarters of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) in São Paulo on Wednesday (6) morning. After attending the Economic Forum Brazil & Arab Countries earlier this week, Al-Enezi met with ABCC president Osmar Chohfi and secretary-general Tamer Mansour.

Arab diplomats and private sector entity representatives discussed taking their countries’ relations with Brazil to a whole new level on Tuesday (5) at the headquarters of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP). In São Paulo for the Economic Forum Brazil & Arab Countries, the Arab delegation was welcomed by FIESP president and businessman Josué Gomes da Silva.

Representatives of Arab chambers of commerce in South America signed Tuesday (5) a letter of intent to work together for the development of these institutions. The group met at the headquarters of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) one day after its Economic Forum Brazil & Arab Countries and in the presence of the Union of Arab Chambers secretary-general Khaled Hanafy.

The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) held the Brazil & Egypt Business Meeting this Tuesday afternoon (5) at its headquarters in the capital of São Paulo. The event gathered about 50 Brazilian business people and the Egyptian delegation on a mission to the city. The secretary-general at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC), Alaa Eldin Esmat Ezz, spoke about the opportunities in the Arab country both as a business hub and for exporting and assembling products.
