On mission, Arabs learn more about Brazil

This Thursday (14) in your ANBA Bulletin: Mission brought Arab companies to Brazil this month. The initiative occurred in parallel with the Economic Forum Brazil & Arab Countries and included eight companies from different sectors. They participated in a schedule focused on understanding the market, investment possibilities, and business contacts.

Núbio Brito exhibited and was awarded for his canvas at an event in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The artist from the Brazilian state of Tocantins returned to painting at 40 and has also exhibited in Paris and London.
The Emirate of Sharjah is looking for startups linked to sectors such as water technologies, energy, design, architecture, transport, and logistics to accelerate. There initiative seeks Brazilian companies. Applications are open until the August 16.

When I first visited Abu Dhabi, one thing I found incredibly fascinating was how the Brazilian combat sport of jiu-jitsu had become so fondly adopted by Emiratis. In the UAE, the martial art is practiced across 15 centers and taught in over 100 schools – while Abu Dhabi is now considered a world jiu-jitsu capital.
