The 13th Arab World Film Festival is the highlight of the ANBA Bulletin of this Monday (16). The festival, organized by the Institute of Arab Culture (ICARABE) will take place from August 8 to 27, in São Paulo, and once again will have the support of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce. The festival features 24 films, divided in four themes: Arab world, Arab-Latin Dialogues, Palestinian Cinema and French-Arab Cinema. “The films portray social and cultural relationships in the Arab world from a humane perspective, approaching human dramas and breaking stereotypes,” said Natalia Calfat, a member of the Festival’s organizing team.
The United Arab Emirates consulate in São Paulo held a dinner, last week, to promote the Zayed Sustainability Prize, which awards sustainable projects from different sectors. The event gathered especially Education experts, since one of the categories of the prize awards high schools projects, and Brazilian schools finished among the top candidates in other editions. Registrations are open until August 9.
