Businesswomen relate their experiences with the pandemic

This Thursday (16) in your ANBA Bulletin: two Arab women executives, one an Egyptian and the other a Saudi Arabian (pictured above), recount their business experiences amid the Covid-19. They go over the adaptations that were called for, the remote work or the impossibility thereof, new markets explored, and so many other challenges women are being faced with during this worldwide lockdown.

Such was the agenda of a webinar hosted by the recently founded Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) Women's Committee. Two Brazilian executives explained the concept of a Low Touch Economy, its applications and challenges as the world self-isolates. The webinar also marked the launch of the ABCC Women's Committee. Read all about it from Bruna Garcia and Thais Sousa.

A story from ANBA's editor Isaura Daniel covers the impact of the pandemic on container-based shipping to the Middle East from Brazil. For bulk cargo shipping, it's been business as usual.

A special report delves into Arab immigration to Brazil. The quest for a more promising, prosperous life has bred stories of success and a major contribution to the growth of the country itself.

And a short film by a 21-year-old Egyptian filmmaker is being featured in a festival which gives a glimpse into pandemic living in the eyes of ten African authors, in short films lasting 2 minutes or less, now showing in the African Film Festival.
