Last week saw the creation of Brazil-Bahrain Parliamentary Group by the Brazilian Senate. The project by Marcos do Val and Nelsinho Trad aims to bring the two countries even closer together. Morocco could grow 1.3% this year and 2.5% next year, according to data released by the High Commission for Planning (HCP), the official Moroccan statistics office. Information was published in the Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) news agency this Thursday (14), with projections announced by the secretary general of the HCP, Avachi Khellaf.

Muslim populations recently celebrated Eid Al-Adha, a religious holiday in Islam known as the feast of the sacrifice. Eid Al-Adha marks the end of Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca, and is a period of festivities between families and friends and collective prayers in mosques. This Friday (15), the bill for creating the Brazil–Bahrain Parliamentary Group, approved by the Brazilian Senate last week, was promulgated. The project was authored by Senator Marcos do Val (Podemos, Espírito Santo) and had Nelsinho Trad (PSD, Mato Grosso do Sul) as rapporteur. Bahrain is an Arab country in the Middle East with which Brazil maintains increasingly close relations.

Brazil exported less coffee to the Arab countries in the 2021/2022 crop cycle. The period calculates the volume of bags shipped from July last year to June this year. The decline was 51.3% in volume, totaling 1.09 million 60-kilogram bags. There was an 8% drop in revenue in the current period compared to the previous one, with USD 210.5 million. Data are part of the monthly statistics report of the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafé).

The Brazilian federal government has increased the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth forecast for 2022. Estimated growth went from 1.5% to 2%. The projection of a 2.5% increase was maintained for the next year, according to information in the Macrofiscal Bulletin, released this Thursday (14) by the Ministry of Economy.
