Free zone in Sharjah presents benefits

This Thursday (1) in your ANBA Bulletin: A mission from Saif Zone, a free zone in the emirate of Sharjah, will be in São Paulo in June for business meetings. A seminar will kick off the program on the 12th in the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC). Registration is open.

Saudi fund SALIC has pledged a subscription commitment to Brazilian firm BRF of up to 250 million new shares, which will amount to a significant investment.

And the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Executive Board gave its formal support to the Arab Latinos project that connect Arab countries and the Latin America through the intercultural dialogue.

Brazil’s BRF receives investment pledge from KSA’s SALIC

Brazilian food company BRF will receive a capital injection of BRL 4.5 billion (about USD 889.67 million at the current rate) from its parent company, Marfrig, and Saudi sovereign fund subsidiary company SALIC. The company disclosed the information this Wednesday (31) through a material fact. The capital increase will occur through a new primary share offering.

Rondônia’s Castanhas Ouro Verde sells to Algeria

Rondônia’s firm Castanhas Ouro Verde is based in Jaru, which is south from Porto Velho, between Ariquemes and Ji-Paraná. The four-year-old company carries out the shell extraction, industrialization and conditioning of Brazil nuts in Rondônia, and sells them in 20-kg packages with a shelf life of 24 months.

The decision occurred in an assembly that brought together the institution’s member countries, and the project was supported unanimously. The initiative was created by the UNESCO secretariat and launched in 2022 at the headquarters of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) in São Paulo.

Seminar in Brazil to present Sharjah free zone benefits

Representatives of the Saif Zone, a free zone in the emirate of Sharjah, one of the seven that make up the United Arab Emirates, will be in Brazil in June to meet with Brazilian companies. Organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), the trade mission will kick off on June 12 with a seminar in São Paulo, in which a profile of the Saif Zone will be presented, detailing the facilities, tax incentives, in addition to success cases of companies already installed in the free zone, including 20 from Brazil.

Patrícia Olve, the queen of pirarucu leather

In 2016 Patrícia Olve (pictured) came up with a formula to manufacture the pirarucu fish leather and became the first woman to work with the product in Brazil. Qatar lifts embargo on Brazilian beef
