This Friday (12) in your ANBA Bulletin: Halal market was the theme addressed in webinar hosted by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce earlier this week. Specialists from Brazil and elsewhere discussed the topic and believe that Brazil has the potential to supply other halal products beyond just beef and poultry, where the Brazilian industry is already strong. During the online conference, the Arab Chamber signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA), which will help Brazilian companies to have more information on certification and halal market. And Brazil-Arab countries trade in medical items: Brazil imports to the region, but these imports were impacted by the pandemic. Fewer diagnostics and elective surgeries and an appreciating US dollar made imports slow down in the first quarter. And coffee exports from Brazil are up, UAE mission to Mars was slated for July, and a monologue telling the story of a Lebanese travelling salesman who relocated to Brazil in 1914 is on YouTube.

São Paulo – For 22 years, the city of Extremoz in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, has had dromedaries as a tourist attraction on the Genipabu dunes.
