Brazil and Saudi Arabia sign tourism agreement
This Monday (13) in your ANBA Bulletin: Rapprochement between Brazil and Saudi Arabia in the tourism sector. Last week, in Jeddah, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding to expand bilateral tourism flow. The Saudi Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al Khateeb, has committed to launching a nonstop flight between Rio de Janeiro and Riyadh.
Islam themes will be presented at the São Paulo Book Biennial. The event will start on July 2nd and feature a stand of the Federation of Muslim Associations of Brazil (Fambras). Fambras will bring the Muslim character Khalil from a comic book and exhibitions to the event.
Tunisia devises a green hydrogen strategy, and the first woman will join the board of the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia.

Executive Sheila Al-Rowaily, who worked as a financier for the oil company Saudi Aramco, became the first woman to join the board of directors of the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia (SAMA). Information was released on the Arab News website based on a SAMA statement mentioning a royal decree.

The Federation of Muslim Associations of Brazil (Fambras) will represent Islamic culture at the 26th edition of the São Paulo International Book Biennial, to take place in São Paulo from July 2 to 10, at Expo Center Norte. An exhibition on great Muslim inventors and how their creations brought benefits to humanity will be one of the highlights of the stand, which will also feature the presence of the character Khalil and his stories aimed at children and teenagers, with eight volumes of the comic book created with the mission of fighting Islamophobia.

Tunisia is devising in partnership with Germans a national strategy to invest in green hydrogen, perceived as the fuel of the future, which is usually made from renewable energy sources has the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Tunisia signed an agreement with German in December 2020 approving the creation of an alliance for green hydrogen.

Brazil’s Tourism minister Carlos Brito and Saudi Arabia’s Tourism minister Ahmed Al Khateeb signed a memorandum of understanding last week in Jeddah to deepen bilateral relations and boost the tourism flow between the countries. During the meeting, Khateeb promised to work for a Rio de Janeiro-Riyadh air route.
