Saudis increase import tariffs on 99 products
This Thursday (16) in your ANBA Bulletin: Saudi Arabia has increased the import tariffs on 99 products. The measure aims at promoting domestic industries as a previous round of import tariff rises in 2020 led to an investment increase and more jobs in the country. Global demand for oil is forecast to return to pre-pandemic levels next year, reaching 101.6 million barrels per day, according to projections published on Wednesday (15) in the Oil Market Report by the International Energy Agency (IEA). The IEA expects the demand to grow to 99.4 million barrels per day in 2022 – and weaker economic growth will temper the growth of demand this year, while China is set to lead demand.

Plaza Sul shopping mall, in the capital of São Paulo, is hosting the Mysteries of Ancient Egypt and Holy Land Itinerant Museum, exhibiting hundreds of items, including replicas of three sarcophagi of Tutankhamun. The exhibition opened on June 9 and will run until August 8.

From this Tuesday (14) to Thursday (16), Brazilian company Nitro has been participating in the Middle East Coatings Show (MECS) for paints, pigments, resins, and enamels. Brazilian poultry exports (considering all products, fresh and processed) totaled 429,600 tonnes this May, a volume 3.7% higher than in May 2021.
