Saudis facilitate beef imports

This Thursday (17) in your ANBA Bulletin: The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has lifted a requirement that limited to 30 months of age the animals from Brazil whose meat would be bound to the Arab country. Saudi Arabia has also opened its market for sheep meat from Brazil.

Egypt opened a bidding for railway sector products and is looking for consultants to provide services in the industry.

And representatives of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) gave information on regulations of the Saudi market in an online workshop featuring Brazilian businesspeople from the ceramics and tiling industry.

Egypt opens bidding for railway sector products

The Egyptian government opened a public bidding for railway sector equipment. The tender seeks industries to supply CNC Lathe automatic machinery and repair diesel and traction engine bodies for railway locomotives. Interested companies must apply before July 13. World Cup Stadium to host Arab team matches in Qatar

This Tuesday (15), Qatar opened ticket sales for the qualifiers for the Arab Cup of the International Football Federation (FIFA). Matches will occur in two stadiums, one of them being the Khalifa International Stadium, to host matches of the 2022 World Cup, to take place in the Arab country next year. The other stadium in the qualifiers is Jassim Bin Hamad, which is not on the World Cup venue list.

Saudi women allowed to live alone without male consent

Saudi Arabia is to allow single, divorced or widowed women to live alone without permission from father or any other male guardian, or wali according to Islamic law. The guardians are usually close male relatives such as an uncle or a brother. The historic ruling gives Saudi women the freedom to live independently in a separate house without the consent of any man.
