This Monday (19) in your ANBA Bulletin: The minister of state for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Reem Al Hashimy, visited Brazil. She stressed the role the country plays in climate policy and said she expects a broad participation of Brazilians in COP28 Dubai. UAE’s Date Crown of date products has plans for the Brazilian market. Three new products were launched at Naturaltech show last week in São Paulo, and the company is optimistic about the local consumption.

Djibouti’s economic rebound to continue

The economic rebound of Djibouti, an Arab country in Africa, is expected to continue after being held back in 2022 by international trade disruptions and the conflict with neighboring Ethiopia, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) reported on Thursday (15).

Brazil a leading country in climate policy: Arab minister

On a visit to Brazil, United Arab Emirates International Cooperation minister of state Reem Al Hashimy spoke at the opening of the Economic Meeting Brazil-UAE that took place Thursday (15) in Brasília. Hashimy said the relations between the two countries are strategic and that her 52-member delegation, including businesspeople of leading industries from her country, is exploring the opportunities Brazil has to offer.

Date Crown launches new products, plans to grow in Brazil

The family of date-based products by Date Crown, a brand belonging to the United Arab Emirates-based Al Foah, is growing. Al Foah is a subsidiary of Arab food group Agthia. This week the company is launching three new products at Naturaltech, a trade show that specializes in healthy and natural products. But the growth is expected to go further, said Agthia Group Snacking & Government Relations president Mubarak Al Mansoori.

Brazilian cities to get USD 1.9 million for immigrants

The Ministry of Social Development and Fight against Hunger of Brazil published Friday (16) a decree that allocates BRL 8.97 million (USD 1.86 million) for social assistance actions for immigrants and refugees. Fifteen municipalities across ten states will receive an emergency transfer of federal funds for the care of 3,738 people assisted by reception programs or spontaneous demand.
