The Central Bank of Morocco [Bank Al-Maghrib] (BAM) estimates the country’s growth will reach 5.3% this year and 3.3% in 2022. The emirate of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, is extending its vaccination campaign, which used to be restricted to citizens and residency visa holders only. Tourists can now receive Pfizer or Sinopharm vaccines. The doses are only available for holders of a visa issued by Abu Dhabi or holders of passports eligible for visa on arrival with an entry stamp at Abu Dhabi. Individuals have to show the passport with the visa at the vaccination center to get the jab.

Brazil has sought to widen the international reach of its products, and apple juice is one of them. The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA, in the Portuguese acronym) has been in talks for four years to break into the United Arab Emirates market. Around two weeks ago, the UAE submitted a document to MAPA containing the country’s requirements and regulations for apple juice. The market opening process is being negotiated without a forecast to be completed.

The Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) will host a series of international events in the second half of the year. Among these events are the Middle East Online B2Bs to be held from August 23 to September 3 between Brazilian exporters and importers from the region. Interested companies can register until July 9.
