This Monday (26) in your ANBA Bulletin: A partnership was signed between Brazilian company Minerva, a leading beef exporter in South America, and Saudi’s Nadec, a major food processing player in the Middle East and North Africa, aimed at boosting Minerva’s sales across the region. ApexBrasil has worked to foster the women’s participation in foreign trade. The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency has established a program for women-led businesses to export. And São Paulo-Cairo nonstop charter flight will debut on September 4. The official launch took place last week, and tickets are already on sale. |

The city of Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia, will host the 2023 Club World Cup, according to an announcement made this Monday (26) by the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the Saudi Football Federation (Saff). The tournament will occur from December 12 to 22 this year.

The capital of the northern Brazilian state of Pará, Belém, will host the workshop “How halal can boost your brand’s internationalization” [“Como o halal impulsionará a internacionalização de sua marca”] next Tuesday (27) from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm BRT. The event is aimed at companies and state players interested in the halal market, for which products are produced and processed according to the guidelines of the Islamic religion and suitable for consumption by Muslims. The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) wants more women-led businesses to start exporting. In 2022, only 343 of the 4,000 Brazilian exporting companies were led by women. One of the purposes of the Women and International Business program launched by the agency in early June is that this number reaches 1,000 companies by the end of 2024.

Tickets for the nonstop flight between São Paulo and Cairo will start selling to travelers at agencies and websites in Brazil next week, according to information disclosed to ANBA by the executive in charge of operations of EgyptAir and Master Flights in Brazil, Marlene de Sousa. The flight, which will initially be a charter, will debut on September 4.

Brazil’s federal bonds will be launched overseas backed by environmental pledges. Instead of merely receiving financial interests, foreign investors would profit from a sustainable project. The Latin American country’s National Treasury secretary Rogério Ceron said the government wants to be ready to issue these bonds on the international market as of September.
