The organization's new strategic plan entails not only encouraging Brazilian-Arab business, but also connecting Brazilians and Arabs wherever they are.
Find out about the History Blocks project, an educational game which simulates the reconstruction of historic sites destroyed during fighting in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. The game derives from Microsoft video game Minecraft, and was developed by the Brazilian professor Francisco Tupy. “Technology helps you to look into the future and retrieve the past,” he said. Students from São Paulo school Escola Bosque made virtual recreations of the Temple of Bel in Palmyra, Syria, and of the Great Mosque of al-Nuri, in Mosul, Iraq. The system is in use in over 50 countries.
